The owner of this item writes: "This is one of 5 silver sycee ingots I am selling in individual auctions. All have been tested as silver and are guaranteed to be silver. However, true sycee has to be over 90 years old and I do not have the expertise to date the older ones so please consider these to be contemporary or commemorative examples of Chinese silver ingots called Yuan Bao or Sycee. (Two of the five are modern and dated due to having Certificates of Authenticity.) With each sycee, I am including a ten-page photocopy of a highly researched article I co-wrote 20 years ago about the history of sycee and how to determine authenticity.
