Shopping in the open air market in a Paris suburb is part of the day's work for Mrs. John Harper, here holding her basket of apples while the stallholder advises her about the oranges. The Harper family, about to end a four-year sojourn in Paris, now eat almost entirely French meals. Mrs. Harper has studied Cordon Bleu cooking, and so takes special care with the shopping.
