【Please make sure to fill the kettle with water above the joint between the spout and the main body】

≪Q&A for Copperware≫
【What should I be careful of when using copper products?】
● Do not store the contents after cooking. This can cause the formation of verdigris (copper rust) and result in plating peeling off. After cooking promptly transfer the contents to another container. Also leaving dirt with salt acid or alkaline components attached or storing in a humid place can lead to verdigris formation.
【How should I prepare when using it for the first time?】
● To remove any odors or greasy residue from processing wash with neutral dish soap and a soft sponge in lukewarm water. For pots boil water once before using. At that time it blends well by boiling with vegetable scraps.
【There seems to be a coating-like film on the outside of the copper product. Should I remove it or can I use it as it is?】
● Some copper products have clear lacquer coating on the outer surface for discoloration prevention. Please use as it is. If you wish to remove the lacquer use commercially available nail polish remover or lacquer thinner (acetone-based) with a cloth or cotton rub and remove the lacquer on the outer surface of the product. If there is insufficient liquid it may evaporate quickly and the part with liquid may turn white. In that case repeat the process wash with neutral detergent rinse thoroughly and wipe off all water.
* Do not remove the coating for products that have colored surface treatment.
【Why is the inside of copper products plated?】
● According to the Food Sanitation Law of the Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare copper pots kettles frying pans mugs and other items that come into contact with food are required to be plated to prevent verdigris. This regulation has been in place since 1952. Despite being recognized as harmless no amendment has been made to the law and plating is still carried out based on this regulation.
【Be cautious as plating is vulnerable to acids salt and alkalis!】
● While extremely resistant to water and air copper plating is very vulnerable to acids salt and alkali components. For example it can peel
