【Be sure to pour water above the joint between the pouring spout and the main body.】
- The pouring spout and main body are joined by soldering. As long as this area is covered with water it will not exceed 100 degrees Celsius which is safe. However if it is not covered with water it may reach a high temperature close to dry heating causing the soldering to come off. Therefore be aware that copper kettles are not suitable for boiling small amounts of water.

- To prevent verdigris (copper rust) and plating from coming off do not store the contents after cooking. After cooking transfer to another container promptly. Storing with dirt containing salt acid or alkali components or in a humid place can cause verdigris.
- When using for the first time wash with neutral dish soap and a soft sponge in warm water to remove odors and oil. For pots boil water once before use. Boil with vegetable scraps to season well.
- Some copper products have a clear lacquer coating on the outside to prevent discoloration. Use as is. To remove the lacquer if desired use nail polish remover or lacquer thinner (acetone-based). Be careful not to de-color the surface that has been colored. For products with a colored surface do not remove the lacquer.
- The plating on the inside of copper products is required by the Food Sanitation Law to prevent verdigris formation and has to be regulated by the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare. Plating may come off with acidic or salty substances so wash immediately after use.
