Takaoka Ironware Kamemon Shadō Tetsubin "Phoenix and Paulownia Treasure Trove" 1.3L IH and Direct Flame Compatible

Crafted in Takaoka a city known for producing cast iron this Takaoka iron kettle with a capacity of 1.3L is produced by the iron caster Eizan under the brand Kamemon Shadō. It depicts the graceful and elegant image of a phoenix a symbol of peace and good governance in Chinese mythology that has brought good fortune since ancient times perching on a sacred paulownia tree.

The Phoenix and Paulownia design features gold and silver inlay with the string crafted in the shape of a copper beast's head. The lid and handle are made of copper embellished with treasure motifs inlaid with silver on the lid and crescent moon motif on the handle. The handle base is made of silver.

Presented in a paulownia wood box it is ideal for gifts and ceremonial occasions. Due to the iron element being released in the form of Fe2+ ions with good absorption rates it is perfect for iron supplementation especially recommended for pregnant women and babies.

Water boiled in an iron kettle is said to enhance the flavor making not only Japanese tea but also coffee black tea Chinese tea and more taste even better. It is suitable for use on both direct flame and induction cooktops (IH).
