Iron Kettle Marunabe Arabesque 1.2L Product Features

Before initial use and after use:

- Lightly rinse the inside of the iron kettle fill it with water up to 80% and boil it for about 15 minutes (in the beginning the water may become cloudy due to rust so repeat this process about three times until the boiled water becomes clear before use). *Even if the kettle is not used for a long time perform the same process when starting to use it.
- After use do not leave the remaining water in the kettle. Transfer it to a pot or similar container and let it cool before storing.

When the inside starts to rust and the water becomes cloudy:

- Lightly rinse fill it with water up to 80% wrap about a teaspoon of green tea in cloth and simmer in water for 15-20 minutes (be careful of dry boiling). This method uses a chemical reaction between tannin in green tea and iron to remove rust. Repeat this process 2-3 times for better effect. Rinse lightly boil water 1-2 times and then use the kettle.

Usage Precautions:

- The main body of the iron kettle becomes hot during and after use so be careful of burns.
- Use and store in a place out of reach of children.
- Be careful of falling if storing in a high place.
- If not used for an extended period remove moisture thoroughly and store in a dry place.
- Do not touch the inner surface. Cleaning with detergent or a sponge can remove the rust-preventing oxide film and cause rust.
- Fill water up to 80% do not use when full.
- Do not use the kettle with high heat that makes the flame come out from the bottom.
- Boiling may cause water to splash out from the spout use with reduced heat.
- Be cautious of cracks or fractures when cooling rapidly from high temperatures.
- Do not use in a microwave oven.
- Do not use in a dishwasher.
