This is an iron kettle from OIGEN in Oshu Iwate Prefecture known for its even thickness providing excellent heat conductivity and insulation. Boiling water in an iron kettle extracts iron enhancing the flavor. Besides being a functional tool it can also be used as an interior décor piece. OIGEN's iron kettles undergo a traditional rust-proofing process through a kettle baking method. The uncoated interior allows for scale buildup creating a unique patina over time. Please use it with care for a long time.

This 1L iron kettle features the auspicious tortoiseshell pattern a symbol of good luck. The handle can be folded for convenient storage and its size is suitable for both men and women. The thick bottom can withstand the heat of powerful 200V IH cookers. It is compatible with direct flame and IH cookers making it a great gift for new homes or new beginnings.
