ANTIQUE APOTHECARY JAR

Wonderful antique pharmacy or apothecary glass jar measuring 10-1/4" in height. Featuring a mold blown square jar with rounded edges and with rolled shoulders, it is complete with the pressed thumbprint original flat top ground stopper, which fits perfectly into the ground collar. Recessed square label area does not retain any label, so is ready for content description.

Condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage - there are lots of tiny occlusions within the glass and bottle underside bears the faintest lettering in a ring - just cannot make it out. Intended to hold apothecary or druggist items for making prescriptions, it is just a wonderful antique bottle! Wonderful addition to any collection or display!
