THV PONY ½ inch Pro-Complete Base Pad 

The THV PONY ½” Pro Complete Base Pad is part of the flexible THV Padding System (originally designed by BALANCE International), which is integral to the Functional Saddling Method.  This Method is designed to provide maximum comfort for ridden ponies and to support biomechanically correct movement. It also facilitates both postural and muscular recovery and maintenance.  

The pad is made using a Pro-Lite gel-foam insert, which helps to protect the skin from shear forces created by movement, and protects the pony’s back.  It has a ½ inch (12.5mm) thickness of 'gel-foam' that sits under the full length of the saddle panels, plus ¼ inch (6.5mm) extra, internal lift at the front.

Because of the lift this pad creates under the front of the saddle, it’s really important that the saddle used with it is wide enough to allow for this, otherwise the pad will tip the saddle backwards and out of balance.

The pad is covered in a faux suede material and is available in black and brown. It has the loop side of a hook/loop fastening system along its full length so you can attach any other THV or BALANCE PONY Add-on pads to it if needed.

Please note - this is the PONY sized version of this pad.  A full-sized version is available for larger steeds.
