This traditional Cuera Tamaulipeca jacket originates from the Tamaulipas region in Mexico. The original owner purchased this jacket while on vacation in Mexico in the early 1960's! We are only its second owner since that time, so it's in great shape. Though there are small imperfections throughout, this coat is in beautiful condition for its age and will continue to be wearable for many years to come.
Featuring intricate designs indicative of the culture and region, these jackets are skillfully crafted by local artisans who continue to produce these iconic pieces today. Though originally worn by cowboys, this jacket would fit beautifully into a contemporary Western wardrobe.
