Beautiful vintage terracotta figurine of a woman in Sardinian clothing, 

carrying what looks like a bundle of kindling for the fire. 

the piece is hand formed from sheets of terracotta clay, 

with embossed texturing the surface giving the impression of fabric. 

The piece is signed on the underside of the dress, 

painted with by 'P. Serra Olbia Italy D-2',

we haven't been able to find much about the artist, 

but it appears to be of traditional Sardinian design, 

and likely mid century modern in production.

Figurine stands approximately 19.5 cm's in height.

 

Piece is in very good condition, 

a little dust in the folds from display, 

but otherwise excellent, as shown in the pictures.
