RARE G-E Photolamp & Lighting Data Booklet PLUS 61 GE Flashbulbs

  • This booklet, which appears to be dated Feb. 1960, gives specifications and information on how to use flashbulbs.
  • One thing which confuses some today is which type of synchronization to use; M, X, or F. This booklet tells you.
  • In addition to the booklet are GE Flashbulbs.
  • Two different era M2B dozen bulb boxes. The older one uses the term PowerMite.
  • One dozen 5B bulbs in the original sleeve.
  • One sleeve of 8 No. 5, clear bulbs.
  • One dozen fairly rare SM flash bulbs in original sleeve. These are odd in they have what looks a bit like butterfly antennae instead of the thin filament most bulbs have. See the Close-up image.
  • 2 No. 11 clear bulbs with edison (screw) bases.
  • 1 No. 11B blue bulb.
  • One No. 22 clear bulb with edison base.
  • One No. 31B bulb with edison base. This is the 2nd most powerful blue bulb made by GE.
  • The boxes and sleeves are full. Total of 61 flashbulbs.

NOTE: Flashbulbs, when fired, burn very bright and very hot. Do not screw the edison based bulbs into a regular light socket, turning on the power may cause an explosion. Static electricity can set them* off, so do not store in flimsy grocery store style plastic bags – those bags, when touching other plastics, can create static electricity. Simply be careful with these. I used small ones as a child and for many years later without harm. Although I came really close once.

Refund Policy: Items that are not as described will result in a refund of the bid amount upon return of the item in the condition in which it was shipped.  This does not apply to finding a small scratch when the description says minor surface wear or similar issues.  If a package is damaged in transit, and if it was insured, the buyer must cooperate in filing the insurance claim (not a big deal).  The box and packing material must be kept and available for the post office if an item is insured and damaged in transit.  If an issue is not addressed in the description (I attempt to provide comprehensive descriptions) or if the bidder doesn’t understand the description and he or she did not ask a question about it, no refund will be made. Note: if the Post Office damages an item and still delivers it, it will refund only the bid amount and not the postage.  I will not make up the difference.
