• Condition:   Bottle has typical light wear and stain from age and use.  Nothing major, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  The small white Styrofoam pellets inside do NOT come with the bottle, they are for photo'ing purposes only and will continue to be re-used by the photographer.   PLEASE see pictures to get a good idea of bottle’s overall appearance and condition.

This bottle is what is referred to as a 'War Slogan' or 'War Theme' milk bottle as the advertising on it promoted efforts to support the war, as it clearly says, "OUR ARMY IS FIGHTING FOR US ... LET US WORK FOR THEM".   In this case it was encouraging the populace to work at fortifying the war effort on the home front by working at building up the war machine and depositing milk bottles daily to provide the natural resources (in this instance glass) for building up the war machines, including canopies for such things as airplanes; P-40 Warhawk, F4U Corsair, P-38 Lightning, P-51 Mustang fighters, bombers like the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell, and B-29 Superfortress. Also to work at boat-works to build ships like the Arizona and Oklahoma battleships, Enterprise, Hornet, and Lexington aircraft carriers. Also armament & ordinance used to fight Japan / Adolph Hitler / Nazi Germany & the Axis powers. Anyway, War Slogan or War Themed bottles are a very popular category of collecting and this one is a classic example of just this sort of thing, check it out!
