This Buy-it-Now is for a hardback book printed in 1852 with the title 'The History of The Painters of all Nations'. It is by M Charles Blanc and published by Cassell. It covers the work of several artists, with an illustrated write-up/history of each one, and some suberb engravings of their work, each on an individual, slightly thicker page, with nothing printed on the reverse. The page edges are gilded. It measures approximately 32.5cm x 25cm and is approximately 150 pages in length. There is some discolouration in places of the pages - I have shown some examples - the inside front cover has the remains of an owners bookplate, the glue of which has stuck the frontpage to the cover - it has been torn where somebody tried to remove it. The covers are showing signs of wear as can be seen in the pictures.
