LAKE SHORE RAILWAY CO. 1869 - Railroad Stock Cert. Unissued edge nicks S+H $5USA
It is unused but incurred a bit of mishandling resulting in both lower corners being knocked
off; also two other areas of small nicks. It measures 7.5" by 11". It has no markings on it. There
is some printing on the back to be used when the stock was issued. I bought this cert. many
years ago as I used to live within a few blocks of where it ran on the far East Side in Euclid
on what is now Lake Shore Blvd. I don't live there anymore and I must lessen my holdings.
Stock has near the top a full passenger train with steam engine and five passenger cars;
also there is what looks like a mail car behind the engine. One more note - the railroad was
FORMERLY THE CLEVELAND, PAINSVILLE AND ASHTABULA R.R. CO. Also LESSEE OF
THE CLEVLAND & TOLEDO RAILROAD. All of these locations were in OHIO.
SHARES WERE $50 EACH.
