Attention, US buyers.
Please refrain from purchasing items listed on my store. Currently, it is not possible to ship parcels from Europe to the US; postal operators are not accepting shipments. I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is beyond my control, and neither of you. I hope the situation will be resolved soon.
To assess the condition of things I use a scale :
NEW-MINT-EXCELLENT (+ -)-GOOD WORKING-AS IS.
The items, exhibited here, have professional service, in each specific case I usually indicate the work performed.
I have original spare parts, necessary tools and devices, both purchased and special ones, which were provided by factories for warranty and post-warranty repairs in the USSR.
Of course, I have technical documentation for repairing Soviet equipment, although I have no need to use it, since I have been working in the service since 1986.
The specifics of Soviet (and not only) equipment of this age do not exclude problems after repair.
Please treat with understanding, I am always ready to help with advice or action in solving the problem.
Soviet Zorki-4K with Industar-50 lens 35-mm rangefinder film camera.
1973 year of production.
The condition is visible in the detailed photos.
Excellent condition with minor cosmetic defects.
Lens glass condition - clean visually, no haze and fungus.
The camera had a full service to return it to a condition, approximately like from the factory.
For this, it was completely disassembled, washed, the lubricant was replaced.
As it almost always happens, the camera had an amateur service in an attempt to revive the shutter with dried grease.
It consisted of tensioning the shutter springs to the extreme, as a result of which one spring was deformed and the tape on both curtains was torn.
Of course, the result was not achieved and it was necessary to use the standard technology with complete disassembly and replacement of the necessary.
As a result, the camera was restored and works perfectly.
But one nuance.
At a shutter speed of 1000, the frame looks partially darkened.
I noticed this during the assembly process, when the curtains were glued as at the factory.
I slightly reduced the overlap of the curtains, it really was a little more than usual.
As a result, instead of an almost completely dark frame, I got a dark one-third.
In this case, for fans of the USSR and myths about the legendary Soviet quality - this camera was made, passed the quality control at the factory, was sold and used.
I think, that at the factory the first curtain was pulled more than the nominal value and therefore the camera passed the test.
Now I also had the option to pull the spring 2-3 times stronger and get a result.
In return - hard work of the shutter, wear of the mechanism and the risk of damaging the curtains, which has already happened.
Therefore, I abandoned these attempts and the camera does not have a speed of 1000.
But the shutter works clearly and easily.
The last photos show some stages of the work.
