THV Pro-Complete 1/2 inch JB Pad 

The ½” JB Pad is part of the flexible THV Padding System (originally designed by BALANCE International), which is integral to the Functional Saddling Method.  This Method is designed to provide maximum comfort for the ridden horse and to support biomechanically correct movement. It also facilitates both postural and muscular recovery and maintenance.  

The pad is made using a Pro-Lite gel-foam insert, which helps to protect the skin from shear forces created by movement, and protects the horse’s back.

The pad is covered in a faux suede material and is available in black and brown.  It has the hook side of a hook/loop fastening system on the underside to attach to a THV or BALANCE Base Pad when needed. 

It is not possible to create a graduated edge with the 'gel foam' material used in this pad. For this reason, we do not recommend that this pad is used without a Base Pad on top of a thin saddle cloth/numnah.  There are many ways to position or layer the THV Padding System, so if you need help, please contact a THV registered consultant or advisor via the THV Saddling website. 

Please note - this is the full size version of the ½” JB pad.  A Pony-sized version is available for smaller steeds.
