Despite this Violins fun and funky looks it is a serious instrument, the Decoration does not affect the tone and quality of acoustic sound it produces with a loud and lasting resonance and, together with an electronic sound effects box, it will produces some wild, whacky and wonderful sounds for the performer.

Maybe someone just wants a bit of serious fun, why not. Typically though this violin will suit an adult performer in either a Rock, Jazz, Folk, Cultural, Country and Western or any situation where you need to amplify the sound to balance the overall effect of performance. Previous sales of this decorated Violin like this have been bought and are used by many local, national and International renowned players, each one is unique and individual .

The amplification is produced with a quality Trasducer Piezo Pick Up under the Bridge. This means it picks up vibrations and not ambient sound. Top quality Steel Strings are fitted so they will produce a good sound for your performance. Synthetic Strings, if fitted, will produce a softer sound. All the electronics are secured in the body and do not rattle or affect the acoustics of the instrument when used with out the electronics.

The peg box has been reamered and the tuning pegs are greased to hold pitch well. I am not a fan of Fine Tuners but there tuners on the tailpiece. I have to admit however they do make tuning easier.

The case and bow could be the originals but certainly all of the age . The Brazilian wood Bow is the original and provides good tension and perfectly straight. The hair is in a good condition and it has received an initial application of rosin it will however require a further application to get full resonance. The Case very functional in holding the violin and Bow firmly. Two of the three catches function perfectly and hold good and the handle and hinges are good too.

There are no cracks or splits. The sound post is correctly set and firm. The base bar too is secure.

All these points are vital when buying a used violin.

Decorated Violins are not every body’s choice, I appreciate this, but it will raise and create very much interest and comments.
