who popularised French cooking to an English audience. 

The book is a delightful description of travels round France, northern Spain, the Low Netherlands, Belgium. 

Of course the local food is discussed, alongside the particularities of each region.

Book is in very good condition, first edition,

d/j unclipped, tanned, with expected wear and tear around the edge,

brown boards clean and neat, owner's inscription inside cover, 

pages otherwise clean though tanned.
