A soulful reinterpretation of early American folk, Over That Road I’m Bound sees Joachim Cooder channel the spirit of banjo legend Uncle Dave Macon through the electric mbira. With contributions from Ry Cooder, Vieux Farka Touré, and Rayna Gellert, this Nonesuch debut blends Appalachian tradition with global textures. The result is a warm, meditative journey—equal parts homage and innovation.
