Offered here is an antique green majolica plate with a detailed grapevine design in raised relief. The plate features large overlapping leaves and grape clusters framed within a paneled border, all finished in a luminous emerald glaze. It’s a beautiful decorative piece that shows off the Victorian style.

On the back, there’s an impressed factory mark along with a few minor stilt marks from firing. One of these stilt marks was left without glaze, which is normal for antique majolica and part of how the plate was made initially.

Condition

Good antique condition. The glaze is still glossy with no significant cracks or repairs. Light age-related wear is present, as expected for a 19th-century piece. Please take a look at the photos for details.

Majolica grapevine plates were very popular in the 1800s and remain highly collectible today. This example makes a great wall display piece or addition to a majolica collection.
