Antique Green Majolica Plate Grapes Leaves Flowers 19th Century Pottery
This is a lovely antique green majolica plate with a bold leaf in the center, surrounded by grapes, flowers, and strawberries in raised relief. The deep emerald glaze gives the design a rich, textured look that really stands out.
On the back, there is an impressed number mark, likely a factory mold or pattern number, along with small stilt marks from the firing process. These are normal for antique majolica and show where the plate rested on supports in the kiln. One of the stilt marks was not covered by the glaze, which is typical and part of the original production.
Good antique condition overall. The glaze shows light crazing from age, but there are no major cracks or repairs. Please check the photos for the best details.
Plates like this are great display pieces and work beautifully in a wall grouping or cabinet of Victorian pottery. The mix of fruit and floral designs makes it especially decorative.
