The outer leather is a rich deep brown colour and in stunning condition, a couple of very small rubbed areas only as shown in photos 2 and 3.

The box can be locked, the key is included and works perfectly.

When opened the box shows 2 cream coloured areas that feel like tile type material. See the ink bottles standing on these in the photos.

That section can be folded out to form a large writing area with storage for letter, pens etc underneath.

Another fold out area sits in the lid of the box.

The box measures 31cms across, 13cms high and 22cms deep.

Writing boxes are hard to find in any condition, and extremely rare in this exceptionally good condition.
