The SL 72 made its debut on the world stage in
1972
Introduced for the 1972 Munich Olympics, the label’s SL series –
two small letters that were soon to be anchored in a decade’s long trailblaze –
was born, crafting the first ‘Super Light’ running model under the banner of
their Originals subsidiary, a strand that has since set the precedent for
subculture over the last 52 years.
These shoes stay true to the legacy with
an authentic shape and materials. The toe box fits slightly narrow, just like
the '70s version. An EVA midsole cushions, and the rubber outsole features a
