Early 1900s Czech art deco pastoral scene ceramic canister. Painted, impressed signature “Anna”, back stamped “made in Czechoslovakia”. Made by Bihl in the 1930’s for the French market, they specialized in art deco decor and kitchenware. Kitchen canister for dry goods (coffee, flour, etc), or cookie jar, referred to as “Spritzdekor”. Has a lid with handle on top. Has two small chips on the top, crazing and darker crazing at the bottom inside. Not noticeable when displayed. Overall good condition for something of this age. Weighs 1.75 lbs, measures 8” tall, 4.5” wide and 4” deep
