This is a Shimano Triton Speedmaster 4 with an upgraded handle and EVA T-Bar Grip.
The Shimano Speedmaster was the precursor to the infamous Gold Trinidad. The 6:1 gear ratio was the highest ratio made at the time, and it changed jig fishing dramatically. Including yoyo fishing and surface iron fishing. I fished a reel exactly like this one for years. I put a Gold Trinidad handle on it and even landed a few big tuna with it as well. This reel was just serviced by the best Reel Service Tech in Orange County, California. He installed Carbon Drags and re-greased every moving part with the appropriate grease thickness required. I added the power handle with the EVA t-bar grip and the newer Shimano Rod Clamp. This reel is in excellent condition cosmetically, and with the new power handle and Carbon Drags it's function is much improved. All of the labeling is still in great condition, and there is barely any boat rash to speak of. It has a decent freespool, but these reels were never known for having unbelievable freespools. But they still cast like a dream, just like the Trinidad. It's got that good ole Triton clicker and adjustable cast control/spool tensioner.
