ANTIQUE SILVERPLATE TEA CADDY CANISTER
Wonderful antique silverplate tea caddy canister measuring about 4-1/2" tall, 4-1/2" wide and 3-1/2" deep. Featuring lovely hand chased decoration on all sides in the Edwardian Aesthetic style, its sits on four ball feet with a hinged lift-up lid - believe style is called Bon-bonier with a rectangular bellied body. Bearing the W.B. & CO. mark, for William Briggs & Co., an English silversmith, caddy dates to around 1904.
Condition is lovely with plating loss, especially on the sides from handling - hinges work perfectly with a nice seal, lid is without dents, no rust, cracks, or damage - a handsome and unique piece. Lovely addition to any home, collection or display!
