XT CF Lite (Mini) - Economic CompactFlash Adapter - XT IDE Universal BIOS - per PC vintage (IBM 5150, 5160, etc.)

E' l'evoluzione delle XT CF Lite che gli addetti ai lavori conoscono molto bene.
Questa versione è più economica solo nel prezzo, ha le stesse caratteriste e monta lo stesso OS della sorella maggiore.
Una ottimizzazione dei componenti ha permesso di ridurli al minimo indispensabile senza alcuna perdita di prestazioni.

La scheda viene fornita assemblata con ROM già programmata e testata almeno su i seguenti computer: IBM PC 5150, IBM XT (5160), Turbo XT, IBM XT 286(5162), IBM PS/2 Model 30, IBM PS/2 Model 50, ma può funzionare anche sulla maggior parte dei PC 8bit IBM compatibili.

Attenzione:
Se volete usarla su IBM AT, per problemi di compatibilità, il PC deve avere un BIOS aggiornato ad AMI o AWARD BIOS.
Inoltre la scheda non è compatibile con lo slot 8 (maggiori informazioni sul sito originale).
La scheda viene fornita programmata con i seguenti parametri di default:
  • Indirizzo RAM BIOS: D200h
  • Indirizzo base controller IDE: 300h
  • Driver di boot: 80h
Sulla scheda è mondata una EEPROM ATMEL AT28C64B già programmata con una versione di XTUNIVERSALBIOS compatibile con la maggior parte dei PC Vintage. Se volete potrete rigrogrammarla con una diversa versione dell'OS seguendo le istruzioni riportate nel sito ufficiale.
Per la riprogrammazione degli indirizzi sopra è invece necessario un programmatore esterno in quanto i parametri sono codificati all'interno del chip stesso.

Attenzione NON è un dispositivo "Plug and Play", è possibile (raramente) che debba riservare sul PC gli indirizzi indicati, se sono in conflitto con altre schede installate.

Cosa verrà inviato:
  • Scheda XT-CF-Mini testata e programmata coni parametri sopra (Attenzione: l'articolo inviato potrebbe avere un aspetto esteriore leggermente diverso da quello riportato nelle foto).
  • NON è inclusa la scheda CompactFlash (può essere fornita a parte, fate richiesta esplicita). La foto ha solo un modivo per mostrare l'aspetto finale della scheda

XT CF Lite (Mini) - Economic CompactFlash Adapter - XT IDE Universal BIOS - for vintage PCs (IBM 5150, 5160, etc.)

This is the evolution of the XT CF Lite, which industry insiders know very well.
This version is cheaper only in price, has the same features, and runs the same OS as its bigger brother.
Component optimization has reduced them to the bare minimum without any loss of performance.

The card comes assembled with a pre-programmed ROM and has been tested on at least the following computers: IBM PC 5150, IBM XT (5160), Turbo XT, IBM XT 286 (5162), IBM PS/2 Model 30, IBM PS/2 Model 50, but it can also work on most 8-bit IBM-compatible PCs.

Please note:
If you want to use it on an IBM AT, due to compatibility issues, the PC must have a BIOS updated to AMI or AWARD BIOS.
Furthermore, the card is not compatible with slot 8 (more information on the original website).
The card is supplied programmed with the following default parameters:
  • BIOS RAM address: D200h
  • IDE controller base address: 300h
  • Boot driver: 80h
The card includes an ATMEL AT28C64B EEPROM already programmed with a version of XTUNIVERSALBIOS compatible with most vintage PCs. If desired, you can reprogram it with a different OS version by following the instructions on the official website.
Reprogramming the above addresses requires an external programmer, as the parameters are encoded within the chip itself.

Please note that this is NOT a "Plug and Play" device; it may (rarely) need to reserve the indicated addresses on the PC if they conflict with other installed cards.

What will be shipped:
  • XT-CF-Mini board tested and programmed with the above parameters (Please note: the actual item shipped may look slightly different from the one shown in the photos).
  • The CompactFlash card is NOT included (it can be supplied separately, please request). The photo is only to show the final appearance of the board.
