Description
黄梅院 小林太玄 Kobayashi Taigen of Obai-in Temple Born in Mukden in 1938 (Showa 13). Became a monk at the age of six. After graduating from Hanazono University, he studied Zen at the Otsu Tatedo Hall of the Shokoku-ji Temple monastery. In 1975, he became the chief priest of Obai-in Temple, a subtemple of Daitoku-ji Temple.
福寿海無量 The phrase "an endless ocean of happiness" contains an important perspective that we tend to forget in our daily lives.
In Zen thinking, happiness is not something that exists somewhere far away, but rather it is something that exists "where you are right now."
