Inspired by the original 1957 design, this 40.5mm Omega Speedmaster ’57 pairs vintage aesthetics like recessed lume markers and Broad Arrow hands with modern performance, powered by the manual-wind Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9906.
Description: The Speedmaster is one of Omega’s most iconic timepieces, having been a part of all six lunar missions and representing the brand’s adventurous pioneering spirit. This 40.5mm model, inspired by the legendary 1957 original, features a stainless steel case and a black dial with recessed hour markers showing vintage Super-LumiNova from beneath. Along with rhodium-plated “Broad Arrow” hands, there is a date window at 6 o'clock, a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, and 12-hour and 60-minute chronograph recorders on the subdial at 3 o’clock. The brushed bezel includes a blackened tachymeter scale, while on the caseback, there is a “Speedmaster ‘57” engraving as well as a flat sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment inside. The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap featuring an Omega-signed buckle and is powered by the manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9906 — a METAS-certified, column-wheel chronograph with a Co-Axial escapement and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss.
Condition: This watch is in very excellent condition, with only minimal signs of wear from gentle use. The bezel and crown show a few scuff marks, while the rest of the wear on the case is mainly limited to light surface scratches. A few faint blemishes are visible on the anti-reflective coating of the crystal, just to the right of the 'Speedmaster' text. Additional photos are available on request.
Accessories: This watch comes with a wooden Omega box, operating instructions booklet, and card holder.
