1956 Press Photo Group Observing the new G-E Weathertron Yearly Air Conditioner

This is an original press photo. Observing the new G-E Weathertron year round air conditioner are (left to right), Al Van Scoten, manager, Blossman Brothers Covington branch. Wiley J. Rucker, GHAC dealer sales engineer; and Walter V. Purcell, local G-E Weathertron field engineer. Blossman Brothers is the dealer for G-E heating and air conditioning equipment in the St. Tammany area. The beauty of the Weathertron system, said Charles L. Gambel, president of GHAC, is that it thinks for itself. "It cools all summer, then without any commotion, heats all winter and on those days that start cold, turn hot, then get cold again in the evening, the heat pump switches from heating to cooling to heating again all by itself." Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 10-17-1956.
