H&R produces coilovers in different versions (mono-tube and twin-tube). Article 45851-18 refers to the version with twin-tube shock absorbers. H&R Twin-Tube refers to high-quality two-tube gas pressure dampers that ensure precise driving and response behavior.
A “V” at the end of the article number indicates the possible damping force adjustment. Depending on the context, an “S” at the end means either decommissioning kit or support bearing included.
Production of the H&R Twin-tube coilovers
H&R Twin-Tube coilovers are made of high-quality steel. The robust trapezoidal threads can still be adjusted even after long periods of use while driving. With an H&R twin-tube coilover suspension, the vehicle has a sporty, tight and yet comfortable ride. Each suspension setup is developed individually through extensive driving tests by the H&R suspension engineers.
Only for FA-strut clamp ø 55 mm Note DCC: The installation of this suspension into cars with an electronic damping adjustment (DCC , Magnetic Ride etc.) must be done in an authorized (Audi - , VW-, etc.) workshop. The signal of the electronic damping adjustment in the display has to be deactivated (e.g. by interference-free complex resistance plugs which are connected to the valve connectors of the front and rear damping adjustment). Lowering beyond the dimensions given in the type approval may result in damage. These damages are not covered by H&R. The minimum clearance between tires and suspension/body parts is 5 mm. If the clearance is less than 5 mm, it has to be restored with wheel spacers or reworking thebodywork. This bodywork and/or arising costs are not covered by H&R.
