This is an original press photo. Mount Zion, in Jerusalem, Israel's capital city - one of the holiest places for all mankind. Located just outside the ancient city walls of Jerusalem and across the valley from modern Jerusalem it has been the center for pilgrims for thousands of years. On the right of the picture is the Tomb of King David, the great psalmer and King of Israel, Just a few yards away is the Coeniculum, or Room of the Last Supper where, according to tradition, Christ and the Apostles ate their Passover meal. On the left of the picture is the Abbey of Dormition, the place where Mary, the mother of Christ fell into eternal sleep.Photo measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 01--1969.
