This is a Dalmanitidae trilobite, possibly belonging to the Odontochiles. It has been designated its own genus- Zlichovaspis. It has not been well-described and has not been designated a species. It was found in the Maider Basin, a Devonian site in the Eastern Anti-Atlas in Morocco.
The trilobite is 2.9 inches long ( if flattened) and 1.65 inches wide. Trilobite and matrix is 4.99 inches long, 3.45 inches wide and 2.44 inches high. Incredibly well-preserved schizochroal lenses are present in both eyes.
There is a repair running across the left genal spine. In the trilobite -collecting world this is not a detriment. Trilobites are found by smashing open rocks- and the specimen often gets broken as a result. It is rare to find an entire, unbroken trilobite. And if one is found, they usually are sold for a premium amount. Many sellers do not disclose that their fossils have been repaired as the repair is often very well done, and virtually undetectable. I believe in full disclosure.
