Berlin-based producer Apparat delivers a textured and introspective journey through glitch, abstract electronics, and broken beat on this 2005 release. Originally recorded for a BBC Peel Session in 2004, Silizium EP blends melancholic moods with experimental sound design, featuring remixes from Bus, Telefon Tel Aviv, and Rechenzentrum. The enhanced CD includes a QuickTime video for “Komponent,” adding a visual layer to the sonic experience.
