Product Description

This is a Nambu iron kettle designed by furniture designer Makoto Koizumi. It has a sophisticated design that is different from previous Nambu iron kettles, and has a strong presence, yet it is an excellent design that blends in with the surrounding interior.
The inside of the iron kettle is treated with an oxide coating, making it rust-resistant. It is also very practical, as it can replenish iron by dissolving the iron, which is unique to ironware. It also has the good water drainage that is characteristic of Nambu iron kettles.

Box: Comes in a cardboard box

Notes: Compatible heat sources: Gas stove, induction cooker, ceramic heater, halogen heater (not microwaveable)

First use: Rinse 2-3 times before use, boil water once, discard the water, and then use.

Use the iron kettle only to boil water, and do not boil water with tea leaves or medicinal herbs. (The water may become cloudy.)

Please note that the water will become very hot during and after heating.

Precautions for use: After use, discard any remaining water immediately and make sure no moisture remains. This can cause rust.

In some cases, after use, leave the lid off and heat the pot empty for 30 seconds to 1 minute to remove any remaining moisture.

Wrap the pot in newspaper or other paper and store in a low-humidity area.

If rust occurs, boiling water in a rusty iron kettle is not harmful to the body, so continue using it as is. If you are concerned about rust, wrap the tea leaves in a tea bag and boil them together. Repeat this two or three times. After that, boil the tea in water only two or three times, and when the water becomes clear, it is done. The spout and the inside of the lid are areas that are prone to rust, so rub them off with a cloth soaked in tea.
