The original work is a manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which has sold over 150 million copies in total from volumes 1 to 23 of Shueisha Jump Comics. Animation is by ufotable.
The story begins with a boy, Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human.
The series began airing the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc in April 2019,
and the movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train" was released in October 2020.
From 2021 to 2022, the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Mugen Train Arc and the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Entertainment District Arc were broadcast and streamed.
In February 2023, the "World Tour Screening: Demon Slayer: Upper Ranks Gather, and Head to Swordsmith Village" was released,
and the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Swordsmith Village Arc was broadcast and streamed in April.
From February 2024, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba World Tour Screening: The Miracle of Bonds, and the Pillar Training" will be shown in over 140 countries and regions, exceeding the previous film,
and the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Pillar Training Edition will be broadcast from May.
