Biography
Born in Israel in 1946,
1946 Born in Israel, studied art at Bethzalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem, then studied postgraduate studies at Honsey College of Art and Design in London, returned to Israel for a while and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator.
In 1974, he returned to London, where he has been based ever since.
For fresh inspiration, he travels the world, from Singapore to Mexico to the Mediterranean.
To capture the brilliance of color and the contrasts of light and shadow, he creates sketches and takes photographs.
She depicts the interplay of bright ad colors at their best, preferring countries where strong light allows contrast with the lush vegetation and white walls of Mediterranean or tropical architecture.
She rarely allows human presence to intrude, and feels, as one critic wrote, “you can almost imagine seeing a rustic paradise where you stumble across no one living, waiting somewhere to live”.
