These long range casting rigs are an absolute game changer. Ever not quite been able to get past the surf? or plop ya bait in that hole thats just out of reach? ........DITTO! 
We heard about this rig back in 2014 and since then there have been lots of cheaper, inferior variations of it that are thrown together with inferior components, cheap mono, unsuitable hooks sizes and unreliable release mechanisms, we know we bought them !!!!!!, please do not confuse this rig with the other long cast rigs available on the market !!
This rig uses the best quality pulley bead swivel, 100% release rate impact shield release mechanism, quality hook/s, rolling swivel and quality soft luminous beads.  (Weight not supplied, just use an appropriate weight to suit the conditions )
 
This tried and tested long range casting rig WILL ALLOW YOU TO CAST FURTHER, this rig is one of our favourites on the beach to get past that surf line, at approx 1.3m long (deployed) it's easy cast from the rocks beach boat or riverbank. Hand tied using 60lb & 20lb mono leader, chemically sharpened 4/0 beak hook, quality pulley bead swivel, 100% release rate impact shield, quality soft luminous beads and a 108lb rolling swivel. 

How does it work?

Simply hook your bait (bottom hook) under the arm of the Impact Shield before you cast out, this makes the bait and weight aerodynamic, therefore there is less wind resistance and "helicoptering" of your bait as it travels away from you. Resulting in a significantly further cast, some say this rig can increase your casting distance by 30%, one thing we do know is that is makes a massive distance difference, especially with an onshore breeze.

One often overlooked feature of this rig is that it is extremely effective when rock fishing or when fishing on weedey bottoms. When the fish strikes and runs with the bait, the design/arrangement of the rig immediately lifts the weight up and away from potential snags.

This rig is a true all-rounder that will catch most species, including but not limited to, Aussie Salmon, Trevally, Tailor, Mulloway, Snapper, Flathead, etc........
