Antique Minton Armorial Gilded Cabinet Plate Unidentified Crest c.1873. 

A stunning antique porcelain armorial plate from Minton, 

fine porcelain with an intricately detailed gilded rim, 

with a coloured and armorial crest at the centre, set in gilt surround, 

with lion stood astride a wheat sheaf above, 

and the moto Pro Deo Et Patria (For God and Country) below. 

We have been unable to identify to whom it belongs. 

The plate is marked with 'Minton' impressed on the back, 

with the 1873 year mark 2 vertical rectangles and a triangle above. 

Plate measures approximately 26.3 cm's in diameter. 

At over 150 years old the plate is in excellent condition, 

there is a little wear to the gilding on the outer edge, 

decoration is near spotless, a couple of tiny surface blemishes on the gilding, 

and a couple of light tool marks to the glaze visible in reflected light, 

but otherwise excellent, all as shown in the pictures.
