Sucking In The Seventies is the sixth official compilation album from The Rolling Stones, released in 1981 as a retrospective of their work from 1974 to 1980. Rather than a traditional greatest hits collection, this LP features a mix of edited album tracks, B-sides, remixes, and live recordings—capturing the band’s gritty, experimental edge during the latter half of the decade.
Highlights include the live version of “When The Whip Comes Down” recorded in Detroit, the extended mix of “If I Was A Dancer (Dance Pt. 2),” and alternate takes of fan favourites like “Hot Stuff” and “Fool To Cry.” The sleeve features embossed artwork and a printed inner sleeve with credits.
