Up for sale is an original 1930s Tijuana Bible titled Blondie and Dagwood in “Fired”, a classic example of underground adult comic art from the Great Depression era.
Tijuana Bibles were pocket-sized, eight-page, sexually explicit comic books often parodying popular comic strip characters of the day. These risqué comics were independently printed in the U.S. and sold under-the-counter, rarely surviving in decent condition. This one features a parody of the Blondie comic strip, starring Dagwood and his boss Mr. Dithers, with crude humor and vintage erotica reflective of the times.

Historical Context:
Tijuana Bibles were a form of underground publishing in pre-WWII America, offering adults an anonymous chuckle in hard times. Their value today lies not only in their humor but in their cultural and artistic significance as taboo collectibles that poked fun at icons like Dagwood, Flash Gordon, Popeye, and others.
A great addition for collectors of vintage erotica, comic art history, or Depression-era ephemera.
