You'll need straight radiator valves if your heating pipes come up from the floor and connect to the radiator on the underside. These valves are designed for a straight, linear flow of water into the radiator.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

  • Straight valves are for when the pipework runs directly from the floor into the radiator:
This means the pipework is either vertical or horizontally aligned with the radiator's connection points.

  •  Angled valves:
Angled valves are used when the pipework comes from the wall and needs to turn to connect to the radiator.

  • Examples:
Straight valves are suitable for radiators with connections on the underside, where the pipes come up from the floor.
