In 1882, upon the death of their father, Bernhard Jr. and Julius Stroh took over the brewery on Detroit's Gratiot Avenue.  To honor the founder, they changed the name to "B. Stroh Brewing Company". Later, in 1902, it became " The Stroh Brewery Company". 

A light zesty beery, originating in Bohemia, was the popular beer brewed by the Stroh family.  The design and colors of the royal crest of Bohemia were adopted for the label to identify the Bohemian brew from other ethnic beers popular in that day. 

#IV in the Stroh's Heritage Series contains slight imperfections in the graphics to verify that they are taken from the authentic label used in the 1800-1900's.

Manufactured by Ceramarte in Brazil it has serial # 93148 stamped into the bottom.
