This really hurts me to sell…it’s the helmet of Claude Davis which is HEAVILY modified by him in field and war torn as well. He removed the neck strap and its lugs. Also the trim around the helmet. He used some putty to patch the crack and repainted it. A seriously remarkable piece of history I was proud to service, down to the leather strap is genuine and original. The strap was restored with Pecard’s antique leather dressing which keeps it strong. Everything else was thoroughly cleaned to make it the awesome artifact it is today. This is a 100% genuine piece of the Vietnam War and likely a much earlier model of the M1, refitted for Korea then Nam’. I really hope this goes to a good home. That’s all I want for it
