VINTAGE 1930s ICE CREAM SIGN

Vintage lithograph paper double sided ice cream sign measuring approximately 13-1/4" long (complete measurement is 26-1/2") and 6-1/4" wide. Advertising VANILLA ~ FRUIT OF THE ORCHID, it is faintly stamped G.P. GUNDLACH & CO., CIN'TI, O ~ LITHO. IN U.S.A. Designed to simply hang over a horizontal wire suspended behind a counter or bank of ice cream chairs, it is meant to be viewed from each side - colors are vibrant, graphics are beautiful, and condition is great with no damage other than a hint of tanning around the back edges, and a few crimps to the points from age - colors are still vibrant. Never used or displayed, this is new old stock purchased from a defunct ice cream parlor in San Francisco, California. Simple, bold graphics are striking - so unusual - think it would be a fun addition to any sign collection or display!
