This is a beautiful cut crystal vase, with frosted Trillium Flowers, feathers, and geometric designs. The White Trillium flower is the Provincial Flower of Ontario, Canada, where this beauty was cut by Gowans & Kent of Toronto. It was likely made around 1910-1915 and is marked on the base with the acid etched maple leaf in a circle with Elite inside. Some Canadian glass makers of the Brilliant Era cut the designs on blanks made in the United States or France, or other European countries. This is an exceptional vase and beautifully cut. It is very heavy weighing approximately 7.2 pounds. It stands about 13 7/8" tall and is 5 5/8" wide. This is in very good condition. There are two chips on the sawtooth rim (please see the last few pictures for closeups), and some tiny nicks and fleabites. There is one shallow chip to the exterior on the edge of a feather. There is a closeup of this in the 4th from the last photo. Otherwise, there are some tiny nicks/flea bites to the exterior facets, and some surface scratches, mainly to the base. It's a lovely example of antique cut glass from Canada. It is excellent quality and an extravagant design!
