This huipil is made in collaboration with the Tacuate people with embroidery  made by Amuzgas women.

It is made in backstrap loom by the expert hands of the Tacuata master craftswomen and embroidered with the characteristic “little animals” of  Amuzgo people.

(Both Amuzgo and Tacuate people embroider animals, but there is a difference between them).

This huipil is made with cotton that the farmers harvest in their fields.

It is a thick cotton thread very difficult to weave because it needs a lot of strength, every day there are fewer women who want to weave these huipils because some of them have waist and hip ailments due to the weight of the cotton loom.

The effort and fatigue contributed by women artisans should be valued.

The backstrap loom Huipil is not expensive, it is a wearable art.
