The included information card tells you that the lantern was hand blown and reverse painted using specially angled brushes by skilled artists.  

There is writing on the bottom of the box indicating this lantern is over 20 years old.  I do not see any signs of use.  Please see pictures as they are part of the lanterns condition description.
