Calling all mid-century mavens, vintage textile purists & craft collectors! We have a pair of heavy barkcloth fabric remnants --- two drape curtains that are slightly different sizes that are rocking a stellar asymmetrical geometric print. Coral pink and chocolate brown rectangles pop hard against a sketchy, textured abstract cream/tan backdrop. These rich, almost "aristocratic" textiles could easily fit into any space and add the instant glam, pomp, and circumstance of old-school Hollywood!
What you're getting are 2 pieces of original vintage barkcloth in mixed sizes
- 1st Panel: Measures approx. 40" top to bottom in length, 44" across the pinch-pleated top, and 76.5" across the bottom when laid flat.
- 2nd Panel: Measures approx. 37" top to bottom in length, 43" across the pinch-pleated top, and 73" across the bottom when laid flat.
Sold in their original, unlaundered, "as-found" estate state with pre-owned vintage wear. There are no real frays, holes, sun-fade, or dry rot that we could see. The 1st panel in gallery has couple small stains on exterior surface. The 2nd panel (in the gallery) has a few larger but very faint surface soil spots, primarily near the bottom edge. Both panels cream cotton lining has long large streaks of soil stains (some groups) that are faint "somewhat hard to notice" in the photos. No curtain rod pocket present, so it may hang by hooks which are not present.
They are great for hanging in an asymmetrical window space, or harvesting for high-end MCM crafting projects like throw pillows, tote bags, and upholstery cushions. Designers and upholstery artists love these because removing the pinch pleats unleashes almost 150 inches of wide, unbroken, premium flat yardage! There is no curtain rod pocket present, so they hang by standard drapery hooks (hooks are not included).
